We are a small (ok, very small) family run homestead. Our main focus here is God. We work hard to raise good quality real food for our growing family. We aren’t perfect and we don’t pretend to be. We are learning as we grow. We are multi-faceted. We are authentic.
I’m Amanda, and I am married to the man of my dreams, and also the man who God put here to help me become a better person. His family calls him “Joe”, so you can too. He is a hard working devoted family man who simply put loves his family. I am a stay at home mother to 3 beautiful blessings with another on the way. We are truly humbled and blessed to be entrusted with these amazing children. The oldest we call Bean and he is a very compassionate little 5 year old who wants nothing more than to be just like his Daddy when he grows up. Roo is our older daughter(2.75) who is extremely nurturing and loves to read books. She also happens to be her Daddy’s princess and she knows it. Our next younger daughter is Baby K is 18m old and into everything. She is our little indian princess who sparkles with her smile and can play the crowd like you couldn’t imagine. She is snuggly, and smart. We are also expecting our 4th blessing in the fall of 2014.
We have 4 working dogs. The FishDog our puppy mill Australian Shepherd (age 10), our Beauceron (from a not so good breeder-email me for more info if you are considering buying one from FL) that is 4 years old, our fuzzy yellow rescue dog (age 3) that is part sheltie part pomeranian, part who knows what named DARE(Dogs Are Really Expensive), and our Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue we lovingly refer to as “Murphy’s Law Enforcement” aka:Murphy.
We have 2 barn cats to keep the rodents at bay and many other farm animals that we raise for food production. Chickens for meat and eggs and pigs for piglets and well… bacon. We work very hard to produce our own happy, healthy food. From growing veggies to raising pigs… we care about where our food comes from and strive to feed our family the best possible food. We do our best, and that is all we can do. We live, we make mistakes, we learn and we grow. We try new things, one step at a time. Thank you for taking the time to visit us. May God bless you abundantly.
